2006 - 2007 was a strong year of consolidation for WSN in which we continued our transition into a highly competitive, fully integrated business providing sustainable waste solutions.

Performance highlights for the year include:


A profit of $14.9 million, up 13% on last year.

Total work under contract grew from $440 million to $560 million through successful tendering.

No environmental infringements for the first time in seven years.

Lost time per million hours worked down 8%.

87% energy use from renewable sources.


This is the fourth year that WSN has incorporated sustainability indicators into the Annual Report, demonstrating a commitment to transparency regarding environmental, social and economic performance.
